Tamal Mitra specializes in printmaking, production design and costume design for film and stage, and multimedia design. He has exhibited in several art shows across India. Tamal has earlier served as a founder member and Head of Department of the Multimedia Department—St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, where he designed its curriculum. He is a recipient of the National Scholarship from Government of India which allowed him to work at Vishwa Bharati University, Santiniketan; Junior Fellowship from the Government of India; and, the Inlaks Foundation Grant for which he worked in Cholamandalam Artist Village, Tamil Nadu. Tamal holds a Masters degree in Visual Arts from Rabindra Bharati University. He has served as an Assistant Secretary of Khoj in Kolkata.
