Aayushi D'Costa is an architect and urban enthusiast with a passion for creating and exploring. From 2022 to 2023, she worked as a junior architect at Busride Design Studio in Mumbai. At Busride, she delved into the intricate relationship between art, architecture, and design—discovering how these disciplines are interlinked yet distinctly unique. This experience enriched her understanding and shaped her creative approach. In 2023, Aayushi brought her innovative vision to City Sabha, where she made significant contributions as an illustrator and researcher, further broadening her expertise in urban studies and visual storytelling.
Aayushi's also finds interest in Architectural Research. She has a flair for writing and has authored several insightful articles on Architecture and Design for Rethinking The Future (RTF). Her writings reflect her deep understanding and fresh perspectives on Contemporary Architectural Practices. Additionally, Aayushi is passionate about sculpting and experiential mapping, often spending her leisure time with "Play with Clay," where she finds joy in creating tangible forms from her imagination.
Aayushi is a Teaching Assistant at SEA. Here, she wants to bring her knowledge and experience to the classroom, inspiring students with her belief that "If you can think it, you can make it."
Aayushi has also embarked on a personal venture, Studio D-Cos/theta, where she explores the intersection of urban mapping and product design. Studio D-Cos/theta is a creative space where she experiments with various materials, aiming to have the right cut between support and collapse. Her venture delves into design and learning from people's stories, past memories, and a sense of nostalgia, creating pieces that resonate on a deeply personal level.
